EMERGE

i came to kauai to die

all the parts of me who had forgotten.

all the identities,
roles,
scripts,
programs &
projections

from the outside.

i came to heal

my deepest and darkest shadows,
wounds,
misbeliefs,
traumas &
fragments,

all the parts who needed to remember

she is love.
she is loved.
she is worthy.
she is whole.

layers upon layers unearthed,
moment after moment humbly met.

7 years later,

this death feels complete.

contractions and openings in labor have settled,

& new life has emerged.

everything preparing her for this now moment

of remembrance.
